Quarantine Skincare Favourites!

During lockdown I have been discovering and re-discovering my love for certain skincare products. Over the past few months, makeup has taken a backseat and I have found myself focusing way more on skincare which has led me to enrich my routine and figure out what my oily, acne-prone skin really likes.

The Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser has been a part of my skincare collection for at least 8 months now. I had used it a few times before but I’ve been gravitating towards it way more during lockdown. The combination of AHA and BHA exfoliants work so well together to dissolve dead skin cells, reduce blemishes and improve texture. I use it three times a week as part of my evening routine. This cleanser does not strip my skin, although it contains a variety of exfoliants it has never made my skin feel sensitive, stripped or dry due to the sodium PCA and jojoba seed oil.

Q & A Zinc PCA facial serum is a new product that I have already found myself liking. Great for blemish-prone skin, the texture is smooth and absorbs easily. It contains a blend of Zinc PCA, Reishi & Shiitake Mushrooms. These actives are designed to help minimise pore size and the appearance of blemishes without drying out the skin.

The Ordinary 100% L-Ascorbic Acid Powder was my first experience with a pure vitamin c powder. At first, I experienced irritation and was not sure about this product. However, over time I stopped mixing it with serums and started addiing it into my moisturiser instead which worked like a dream. Within three weeks I noticed that my skin was becoming brighter and more even. Only a small amount of the powder is needed so it will last a long time.

The Keana Rice Mask comes with ten well-soaked sheet masks that are soothing for the skin especially after long periods of sun exposure. The thickness of the mask helps it stick close while it also contains four kinds of rice-derived ingredients which help to moisturise effectively.

Which skincare products have you discovered or re-discovered during quarantine?
