Finding a good moisturiser for my oily acne-prone skin has always been a challenge. I've kissed many frogs and found some princes (under £30) that I'm happy to recommend to you.
When searching for a moisturiser for oily skin, acne-prone skin, it's good to look for an oil-free, gel based formula. Avoid products that include silicone as it acts as a barrier for the skin, trapping dirt, oil and dead skin cells which will make acne worse.
First Aid Beauty Ultra Barrair Cream
This weightless moisturiser is marketed towards normal/combination skin types however this has been great for my oily skin, it has helped to control the excess oil. The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors + HA
This moisturiser was recently introduced into my morning skincare routine and I must say - I was pleasantly surprised by how great this performed on my skin!
Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF) are elements that keep the outer layer of the skin protected and well-hydrated. COSRX Aloe Vera Oil-Free Moisture Cream
This is a fresh, soothing gel multi cream for face and body which contains aloe extract and hyaluronic acid, helping to calm the stimulated skin and fills it with moisture. Super lightweight feeling and hydrates skin well. I have never reacted badly to this or had breakouts, considering the ingredients this is safe for sensitive skin also. The only reservation that I have with this formula is that it does not control oil well so my face gets shinier quicker than normal.
